'BEACONS'

Commission for Health Care at Home

12 paintings commissioned by Health Care at Home for their new cancer treatment clinic in Whiteladies Road , Bristol. Entitled Beacons the series was developed from navigational instruments , beacons,buoys and what are known as Navigational Pilots. These are books detailing all information needed for sea vessels as they negotiate unfamiliar waters or enter unknown harbours; always assisting in safe passage.

'ETERNAL FATHER'

The title Eternal Father is the name of a hymn written for seafarers in the19th Centry ; to bless them ,wish them safe passage and to remember those who have not survived.
